Founded to support the local trade community in helping the landscaping and developer sector to create green spaces. Silvatica combines a passion for trees and plants with local ecological knowledge. Our mission is to deliver cost effective solutions in supplying where possible British grown trees, shrubs and hedging; sustainable landscapesand ecological solutions that nurture our landscape and meet client needs. We value regional expertise, environmental responsibility, and building long-term relationships with landscapers, landowners and developers.

In bringing together decades of experience in trees, plants and ecology Gavin and Julie founded Silvatica to help local landowners,  landscapers and developers to cost effectively create green spaces across Derbyshire and Staffordshire. 

 

Meet Gavin a founder, Partner and plantsman recognised for his expertise in trees and shrubs and for his role in developing and running a  long established  local plant nursery. With more than 20 years of experience in supplying and growing hardy and non-hardy plants has developed a  reputation for the cost effective supply of bare root and containerised trees and plants.  Over this time he has developed a network of likeminded, hard working and knowledgeable growers and suppliers of trees and nursery stock across the UK and Europe.  Working with this network Silvatica works to bring cost effective solutions to your green space projects.

 

Julie also a founder and Partner is a knowledgeable ecologists with15 years of experience working  with landowners as an ecologist with Natural England and Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. She also has experience of the horticultural sector. Together Silvatica combines their skills and experience to offer landowners, developers and landscapers cost-effective plant supply and ecological services that foster thriving green habitats.
